winslow, maine. cold, overcast, unforgiving. a perfect place for an asylum. but take as step into our world to get a good glance at everything; because looks can be deceiving. life is a living hell for the people inside the asylum. they are people just like me and you but then why are they locked up? well, maybe they aren't exactly like the normal person. no, you see these people have powers. powers to read minds, duplicate things, even control things like water or sound. you see, they can't be let out, just think of all the destruction they can bring all the killing they could do. none of them asked for this, someone wouldn't even hurt a fly. so whats to be done?

Capricorn touched her face as she looked at herself in the mirror. She could see traces of her parents still in her face, her cheekbones and her full lips. Her eyes used to be like theirs, a sweet blue-gray color, but not they were teal. Whether it was a result from her constant shifting or just because she willed herself to look different. She sighed, not really feeling like having another argument with herself. She denied that her parents were even related to her. Sure, she could be a monster, but only a real one would do this to someone they loved. Her fingers raked through her hair, dreads tangling up again. She might have cut them off if she didn't like them so much. They made her feel different than everyone else. She sighed and walked out of her shared bathroom, picking up her t-shirt as she passed and pulling it on.
She dropped down onto her bed and stared up at the ceiling before rolling over onto her hip. Her room mate had been out for almost a full week and she wondered what had happened to her. She had to be alright. She might not have liked her room mate very much, but if she was hurt... Capricorn knew she was, but there was nothing she could do. So she pushed the thoughts from her head and listened until she heard the sound of someone knocking on her door and a familiar voice calling out her name. She wasn't sure who's it was, but she got up to let the person it.
"Jared?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the man in the doorway, still as attractive and crazy as ever.
Why the name came to him while he was laying there on a bed in the labs, Jared had no idea. But, while he was getting blood..or whatever taken from him or giving to him, the name came to his head. He hadn't really seen her that much in the past few days, and now that her head popped into his head, he thought he'd go and see her. So once the doctors or nurses or whoever the hell they are were done with him, the boy jumped off the bed and wandered out into the hallways; not paying any attention as to what they were saying to him or talking about.
Jared smiled and said 'hello' to a few people that he passed as he made his way to the other side of the asylum, to the corridor where all of the female cells were at. When he reached them, he wandered without giving his feet direction to the cell that he knew to well. The boy stood there for a few seconds before reaching up and knocking on the door "Capricorn!" he said through the door, hoping that she was in there and not away.
When the door opened and the girl stood there with a raised eyebrow, he just grinned at her "No, it's Bob Hope." he teased her, as he took it upon himself to enter into the cell without waiting for her to invite him in.

Capricorn chuckled at Jared's tease, rolling her eyes when he just walked in. "Well, if you were, you'd owe me money and a latte," she teased right back, grinning and closing the door behind him. She hadn't seen Jared in a while, but it was always pleasant when he visited. Sure, half the time he was buzzed when he came by, but it was nice to see a handsome face once in a while. And someone her own age. She'd been spending too much time with her doctor, and she needed a break from all the secrets. "Make yourself at home," she told him, knowing he would, anyways, but at least she could pretend she had some control over the situation. She sat back down on her bed and patted the spot next to her. She needed some comfort and Jared, she knew, would provide it. Cap's head slumped against the wall and she closed her eyes, trying to breath properly. She felt pretty damn crappy, but she wasn't going to say in front of Jared. Brave face.
She looked over at the man that had interrupted her slight depression and smiled. "So, what brings you to my little cell today Jared? Or were you just in the neighborhood?" she asked, teasing and letting a laugh spill from her lips. She ruffled her hair, tucking bits of it behind her ears, letting her neck show a bit. Capricorn could always count on Jared to do something unexpected. He was predictable in a way that was a relief. And she could be herself around him. All her bits of bitterness and flirting pulled together to make something extremely dangerous of it.

Jared looked back over his shoulder at her then shakes his head some and grins "I don't owe you jack!" he teased, as he stood there in the middle of the little room. He looked around him for a moment, seeing that Cap's cell mate wasn't there. That made it all the better. It wasn't that he didn't mind other people, but he had missed Cap and wanted her all to himself and didn't want to share the moment with her with anyone else. Call it jealously, he suppose, but whatever. He looked over at her when she sat on the bed and sat down himself, moving so that he was leaning back against the wall. Jared turned his head to the side to stare over at her and frowns a bit "You okay, love?" he asked her curiously.
The boy gave off a small shrug as he looked over at Capricorn "Well, I don't know. I think you've bewitched me, Cap. I mean, one minute I'm laying there on those tables with doctors and nurses around me and the next your name pops into my head. Not sure why. So, as soon as they were done with me, I got up and left and came by to see if you were here." she told her, with a slightly crooked grin to his lips. Jared really had no idea what it was that made him think of her, maybe it was because he hadn't seen her in a while. Maybe something his subconscious caught the doctors and/or nurses saying made him think of Capricorn and made him realize that he was missing her and hadn't seen in what felt like forever.

Capricorn let a laugh grace her lips at his tease and scooted over a little so Jared had room to sit on her pathetic excuse of a bed. At his question, she nodded, not looking at him. "I'm perfectly fine. Just been getting... headaches lately. And no one will give me some damn asprin in this entire place, so I'm pretty much fucked for the next few days." She grinned at him, having a strong feeling he was at least a little high; her favorite way to take Jared. She really did enjoy his company, since he was such a sweetheart, but god, he was so good in bed. She bit her lip to make herself relax a little.
Cap let out another laugh when he said she must have bewitched him and twirled one of her dreadlocks around her fingers in a flirtatious way. It was rather funny to her the way he thought. "I'm not admitting anything to you, darling. Sorry. Us witches need to keep our secrets, you know that." She giggled and leaned across the distance between them, pressing a silly kiss to his cheek. She didn't want to let her mouth linger anywhere for long and pulled back, leaning her head back against the wall. "I've missed you," she finally admitted, blushing. "It's no fun around here when I don't get to see my favorite man in the whole Asylum." Her words were a complete tease and she pulled her feet up onto her bed, setting them down in Jared's lap. "Have you been up to anything extremely interesting? Find any new drugs to let me try?" She wasn't against the idea of drugs, since they took the pain away and made her feel good all over. That never happened in the Asylum unless you were a resourceful person like the man sitting on her bed. "Or has it just been treatments and sex for you?" She raised a ginger eyebrow in question.
