winslow, maine. cold, overcast, unforgiving. a perfect place for an asylum. but take as step into our world to get a good glance at everything; because looks can be deceiving. life is a living hell for the people inside the asylum. they are people just like me and you but then why are they locked up? well, maybe they aren't exactly like the normal person. no, you see these people have powers. powers to read minds, duplicate things, even control things like water or sound. you see, they can't be let out, just think of all the destruction they can bring all the killing they could do. none of them asked for this, someone wouldn't even hurt a fly. so whats to be done?

hello old friend {KLAUS} « Thread Started on Nov 1, 2009, 12:08pm »
Gabe had a break in between surgeries and decided to head to the lounge to relax and get some much needed coffee. He knew the coffee here wasn't that great but it was better than nothing. He made his way down the hall towards the lounge that the doctors used for breaks.
He had a lot on his mind. From Alexis to his patients, to everything in between. The day of his daughter's death had passed just a day ago and Gabe had been a mess. He made sure he had nothing scheduled for that day and took a trip to the local cemetary to more the loss of his baby girl. He never could feel full again. He would always have some sort of emptiness because of his daughter's death.
When he arrived at the lounge he spotted an old acquaintance of his. He hadn't spoken with Fleischer in a while and decided to sit down and have a chat with him. He recalled Hutch requiring Gabe's services to erase Lillie Black's memory and replace it with a new one to use against her boyfriend Lennon, the one who had hurt Klaus. Gabe hadn't been entirely comfortable with it and it took a lot out of him to create those new memories. But it was for Klaus, someone Gabriel had grown to like despite some of his crueler methods. He admired the man for managing to separate work from emotion. Something Gabe still struggled with. He took a seat next to the doctor and sipped the bitter coffee. "Hey Klaus, long time no see."

Situating himself next to the window, Klaus opened up his newspaper ad prepared himself for a relaxing hour before returning back to work. His mind was incredibly clear, despite what had occurred the day before. He managed to destroy Lennon Sparks once and for all, but Klaus remained calm, as usual. The threat of being found out and jailed probably for life still existed, which would have normally bothered Klaus, but he had been through so much that he felt numb to everything. Oh well. What difference did it make? Ever since he lost the feeling in his lower body, not much mattered anymore anyway.
After about ten minutes, Klaus was no longer the sole occupier of the doctor’s lounge. Another doctor, Gabriel Strong, had entered the room. Klaus didn’t say anything to him after glancing over in his direction, but not because he didn’t like the guy; he was distracted by his newspaper and didn’t think twice about it. Soon, though, his co-worker was next to him, so Klaus had no choice but to pay attention.
“Yes, it has been quite a while.” Klaus wasn’t sure what to say. He felt no need to bring up what happened at their previous meeting, but at the same time, Klaus wanted to let Gabriel know the latest updates.
Clearing his throat, Klaus averted his attention to the window. “Everything went smoothly,” he explained vaguely in the hopes that the younger male would understand what Klaus was saying.

Gabe listened to the words his colleague spoke. He looked down at the floor and that wallowing guilt crept up on him. He wasn't like some of the doctors here. Often he lost sleep over some of the things he did. It was almost worse that he knew it was wrong and still did it anyways. He looked at Klaus and simply nodded at first. "Good to hear that. I'm glad I could help bring you justice Klaus" he said.
He looked down at the paper Klaus had been reading, thinking now he might have interrupted the other doctor's reading time. "Anything interesting going on in the world?" he asked looking towards the newspaper. "I feel like were in a bubble here sometimes." It was true. The Asylum was a world of its own.
Gabriel leaned back in his chair and looked over at his friend. "Hey Klaus....I have a question for you" he said. "I was wondering if...if this Lennon kid..if you've taken care of him...what about the girl? How's she doing?" he asked, hoping he hadn't turned the poor girls mind to mush. Gabe had done some serious work to erase her memories of Lennon and replace them with new thoughts. Gabe recalled the splitting headache and exhaustion from that day.
